In July, I was recognized for outstanding reporting at the National Association of Black Journalist 2025 Convention for my piece covering the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Vice President Kamala Harris made history by accepting the presidential nomination on the last night of the 2024 Democratic National Convention. After an exciting acceptance speech from the Democratic Presidential Nominee, her supporters expressed excitement to further mobilize voters ahead of November 5th.

In the Fall of 2023, I contributed as a writer on a podcast in collaboration with Spotify’s Next Gen Campaign. As a class, we produced 1619: The College Edition, a dynamic podcast series where Howard University students apply the what they learned studying the 1619 Project and make surprising, compelling, and critical connections to the ways that slavery still impacts lives today.
